Today I finished the Lynda.com course I was doing. I started with a picture of a road with a cloudy sky and a picture of a door. I used the layer style dialog so I could use the “blend if” sliders. I used both the top slider and the underlying slider.
Then I added a layer mask to the door layer to blend it in with the paintbrush tool. Then I changed the blend mode of that layer to Luminosity.
After that I found a new course called Photography for Compositing and downloaded the exercise files.
Today I added 3 photos together. I started with a galaxy background. Then I added hue saturation layer to change the color to blue, green, and purple. Then I added another galaxy back ground, used the elliptical marquee tool to circle part of it, and added layer mask to use it as a planet. Then I added a picture of a black landscape using the quick selection tool and adding a layer mask to that layer. After that I went up to the filter menu and created 4 black trees and placed them where I wanted them. After that I hid the trees and the landscape so I could use the paint brush tool to blend in the planet with the galaxy.
Today I earned my Brainbench certification in Adobe Photoshop CC and then went to career center
Today I started with 2 images. I used the quick selection tool to select the cathedral and used the select and mask tool to fix the edges. Then I added a layer mask. After that I used the gradient tool to blend the two images together
Next I put 3 pictures together. I started with the ocean rock layer and set the blend mode to multiply. I moved the layer to fit inside the clock. Then I used the elliptical marquee tool and centered it. Then I added a layer mask and added curves layer to change the color of the ocean rocks layer. After that I added the smoke layer by changing the blending mode to screen. I placed the smoke where I wanted it, selected the rocks with the quick selections tool, and added a layer mask causing the smoke to go behind the rocks. Then I turned off all of the layers except for the clock layer, used the lasso tool to make a selection around the minute hand, command j. I tune don the other layers and changed the blending mode to darken. That caused the hand to go over the smoke.
Yesterday I tried putting two images together but it didn’t really work. I spent the whole class period trying to do it. I started with a picture of canyons and a picture of a planet. My goal was to put the planet in-between and behind the canyons. I used the quick selection tool to circle the planet and added a layer mask. Then I used the quick selection tool again to select the part of the canyon that I wanted the planet behind. I deleted the layer mask on the other layer causing the canyon to cover up part of the planet. Then I used the paint brush tool to blend in the planet and the canyons but it didn’t work out that well. After that I added two color balance layers to change the colors of both of the images. Then I added curves layer to make it darker and bring to the colors.
Today I used 3 pictures and put them all together. I started with a galaxy background. I added a picture of a road and trees by painting away the top of the image and blending the 2 images together with the paintbrush. Then I added a picture of earth, converted it to a smart object, added a layer mask, and then I used free transform to shape and move it how and where I wanted it. Then I used the paintbrush tool to blend it in, making it look like its actually there. After that I added a brightness/contrast layer to brighten the colors. Then I added a curves layer to darken the shadows. I used the levels tool to make earth not as bright.
Today I started copying the background layer and using the spot healing brush to remove the zits on the forehead and nose. Then I copied that layer and used the same tool to remove the sits and redness on the cheeks and chin. After that I used the patch tool to remove the wrinkles, zits, and dark circles under the eyes. Then I used the spot healing brush to fix her eyebrows by removing some of the small hairs around them. Then I added cures layer to brighten her skin. I used the spot healing tool to fix her lips too.
